Live in Italy Now Presents – “Live Your Dream in Italy” One Day Workshop

The Fast-track to Living your Italian Dream

November 4, 2017 - 245 Park Ave New York, New York

“Live Your Dream in Italy” One Day Workshop for those who would love to live, work, study, invest or retire in Italy--the best short cut to realize your dream of “la bella vita” (the beautiful life).

Dear Lover of Italy,

Have you secretly dreamed of living in a terraced apartment overlooking the Bay of Naples, or maybe it is a step-tiered     mountainside retreat high above the rugged cliffs that border the Ligurian Sea on the Italian Riviera.

Let what might once have been an Italian holiday, inspire you now to call Italy “home.”

Can you see yourself smelling the fragrant aroma of fresh picked arugula, basil and rosemary from a vegetable/herb garden like Frances Mayes (Under the Tuscan Sun) near the hilltown Cortona?

Imagine gazing out over olive groves from your very own Umbrian farmhouse.

Would you enjoy a vacation apartment where you open shutters every morning to the glistening dome of Florence’s famous Duomo in the sunlight?

Perhaps you would prefer to get away from it all to a tiny hideaway in a remote medieval village along the Adriatic.

Maybe you have thought of starting a business, opening a cooking school, beginning a creative life painting, taking photos or writing to fulfill a lifelong dream.

You might just be the one to introduce Italians to the best American hamburger (would you believe McDonald’s is popular), southern style deep-fried chicken or sweet potato pie.

How about living in a cozy pied-à-terre in Rome or Venice part of the year and renting the rest… or investing in property somewhere in Italy?

If the answer is a resounding “yes” to any of these questions then this information-packed one-day seminar/workshop is for YOU.

Stunning!  Would you agree?  You know what?

You don’t have to be George Clooney to realize the dream of living “la bella vita.”  It is within reach and can be more affordable than you think.

An extraordinary life in Italy can be yours right NOW.

According to the Italian Census over 4.6 million foreigners live in Italy today.

Of that number the U.S. Department of State reports over 200,000+ Americans (a very conservative estimate because many do not report their presence to the Embassy), folks just like you already call Italy “home.”

Let 2013 be the year you join them.

If you have seen the popular TV travel series House Hunters International, have you looked with envy as “average folk” take the leap week after week?

So, what’s holding you back?

Here’s your chance to tackle these issues and get answers to your most pressing questions and concerns, so you can comfortable decide if this is for you.

Live in Italy Now Made Easy – Your Passport to “La Bella Vita”

The “Live Your Dream in Italy” One Day Seminar/Workshop is conveniently located in midtown Manhattan near Grand Central Station (easily assessable to all).

The Italian Lifestyle – Sought after the World over

Italy has it all: Storybook Medieval hilltowns; vineyards of ripe plumb succulent grapes, oceans of vibrant sunflowers gently brushed by warm west winds; rooftop vistas from Rome’s seven hills (or, pick your favorite spot) to leave one speechless, endless miles of both sandy and rocky beaches along the Adriatic, Tyrrhenian and Mediterranean coast; picturesque pristine islands with no shortage of palazzo’s and villages to explore; breathtaking mountain peaks that run the length of the country from the Italian Alps and snow-capped Dolomites to the southernmost toe of the boot.

There is more history, culture, art and architecture even several lifetimes would not begin to exhaust.  UNESCO reports more than 45% of all the art treasures on the plant are in Italy.

Even more than the seductive beauty of the landscape, it is the Italian lifestyle --relaxed and unhurried--where family and friendship centered around an enthusiastic appreciation for food, wine, and olio (olive oil)…la dolce vita (the sweet life) --that is the real draw.

Shops and business establishments like banks still close from noon or 1 PM until 3-4 o’clock in the afternoon.  Why?

Because lunchtime--it’s never skipped, it isn’t rushed--and family life is all-important.

Why is Italian TV so awful?  No one watches it.  Families linger over the dinner table engaged in conversation enjoying expresso or digestivo (after dinner drink) –limoncello (lemon liqueur) and grappa (a bitter liqueur sometimes described as “fire water”) late into the evening.

What it means to “own” a home in Italy

When you buy a home, anywhere in Italy (if you should decide to do so), you are not just acquiring a house, a box among many boxes, a place to live so you can more easily enjoy all Italy has to offer.

Rather, you acquire a lifestyle depending on whether you are in a city, the countryside, a small village or hamlet.  The home you choose comes with a “history” that will at first intrigue, then captivate and eventually absorb you.

Your house is a part of a culture alive with events and activities that intimately connects it to the local community, your neighbors, the shopkeepers nearby, the trattorias and restaurants, the weekly market and even your postman.  Make friends with him, he can become a valuable resource.  He knows everything happening in the neighborhood and can give you tips on great property finds.

If walls could talk, can you imagine the stories this small palazzo (in need of some repairs) could tell?

It is available, contact liveinitalynow.com for details.

That dream house can be more affordable than you think...if you know where to look.

How many Americans live in Italy?

Have no fear, if you decide to make the move you will not be alone.  Americans like 19th century novelist Henry James have been falling in love and living in Italy since the mid 1800’s.

The US State Department reports over 200,000 Americans live in Italy right now and more than 35,000 of them are retirees who receive Social Security checks.  However, take note these numbers are far from accurate, as they do not reflect the many Americans who own vacation homes or who live in Italy part-time and do not report their presence to the American Embassy.

Italy - One of the Worlds Most Popular Travel Destinations

The UN Tourism Organization (WTO) reports Italy is one of the most popular tourist destinations in the world (Ranking number 5 just behind France, New York, Spain and China), and as the number one most Romantic travel destination, it has long been Hollywood’s dream location.

Is it any wonder Italy is the first place many newlyweds choose to honeymoon?

Tom Cruise and Katie Holmes’s fairy tale wedding in Odescalchi Castle on enchanting Lake Bracciano was the catalyst for a string of celebrity weddings--Maggie Gyllenhall and Peter Saragaard, Alicia Keyes and Swizz Beatz, Emily Blunt and John Krasinski, Salma Hayek and Francois Henri Pinaulty and most recently Justin Timberlake and Jessica Biel--that has spotlighted Italy as Hollywood’s ultimate destination for tying the knot.  It is more popular than ever, as "the place" to stage an unforgettable wedding event.

No matter the season, everyday thousands throw coins in Rome’s famous Trevi Fountain with one cherished desire.  They hope someday to return.

Every year the number of visitors increases.  In 2011 (the most recent record available) it was over 46 million visitor.  Perhaps you have been one of them, and a vacation or two or three is just not enough.

How about YOU?  Think a moment, how did your love affair with Italy begin?

Does every visit (perhaps it was your first—it can happen that quickly) leave you hunger for more?

You just cannot get enough.

The idea has entered your mind, tugged a bit, but you shrugged it off as nonsense, fantasy…You would love to live there.

Oh, but how to make that seemingly impossible dream reality?  How to take the leap?  Is it even feasible?

Make Your Dream of Living in Italy Come True

Whatever your dream, to Live, Work, Study, Invest or Retire in Italy this one-day information-packed workshop will start you on your way to make the dream real.

When we return from lunch, an International Insurance Broker will open the afternoon session and address every expatriates concerns about International health insurance, health care in Italy, and access to care.  You'll hear from a Banking specialist on opening bank accounts in Italy, the advantage of an international bank account, currency transfers, international trusts and estates planning, obtaining a mortgage, using Roth IRA's and 401K's to acquire international real estate.

Next, our Legal expert will give an overview of legal issues buying property in Italy, how the process differs from what is familiar to us, pitfalls to be aware of and how the Hire Act that becomes effective in 2013 will impact Americans ability to transfer funds abroad.

Our final expert from Sotheby's International will present some of the "True Dream Homes" on the market.  These homes present a very attractive investment option when one considers what they would go for in many US markets.  You will receive advice on where to find the fastest appreciating properties and how the high-end properties impact property values on every level, and which regions are now and soon to become most attractive to International Property Investors.

If the move is feasible whether for a short-term, extended vacation, long-term, or retirement, you will leave with a practical “how to plan” that can work for you.

On Making the Move and Was it Worth It

Some comments from Expats:

"Was it in short, ever well to be elsewhere when one might be in Italy."

                                                                                                             Edith Wharton

"He who has been in Italy can forget all other regions.  Who has been in heaven does not desire the earth."

                                                                                                                     Gogol

"I found it too hard to explain (to friends and family) the sudden quenching of our wanderlust or the relief at finding a place to sink our roots...the sense of community, the closeness and the mystery and the myths, of the harmony of rural life, of being harnessed to the land and elements."

Lisa de Teran  A Valley in Italy

"There is no downside, I say firmly, the waterfall of problems...the financial worries, the language barrier, the hot water in the toilet, the layers of gunk on the beams--there is nothing compared to the absolute joy."

Frances Mayes Under the Tuscan Sun

"We had no idea how uncivilized our lives were back home, commuting two and a half hours to work and sometimes more every day, gobbling down lunch while working at my computer, living every week waiting for Friday, weekends crammed with endless chores, never a moment to pause and 'smell the roses.' It has been amazingly delicious to allow the peace of life here to work its magic."

                                                                                                               David M.

"I believe Proust describes best the way I feel about my home in Venice--my dream is my address.”

                                                                                                                Frances L.

Are you Serious About Living in Italy?

Then ACT NOW don’t miss the “Live Your Dream in Italy” One Day Workshop.

Consider the time (hours and hours bent over your computer on the internet) much less the cost (time is money) it will take you to gather this information on your own. Then there is the issue of the language.  Too bad, most of us, unlike Europeans are not bi and tri-lingual.  Yes, you can find real estate agents who speak English that will find you a place to rent or buy, just be prepared to pay an arm and a leg.
